Dates provide a quick source of energy and nutrients and can prevent an upset stomach when eating large amounts of food after a long day of fasting.<\/p>\n<p>There is no better way to mark the start or end of fasting than with healthy yet tasty foods.<\/p>\n<p>This Ramadan, we are excited to share the recipe of Date Nut Bread using <a href=\"https:\/\/saf-instant.asia\/sg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saf-instant<sup style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u00ae<\/sup><\/a> instant dry yeast!<\/p>\n<h3>Recipe for Date Nut Bread<\/h3>\n<p>A simple rustic bread brimming with dates and walnuts.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<table class=\"ramadan_table\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Dough<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Quantity<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">Flour<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">200g<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">Water<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">146ml<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">Salt<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">4g<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">Saf-instant<sup style=\"font-size: 12px;\">\u00ae<\/sup> Red instant dry yeast<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">2g<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">Chopped dates<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">30g<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">Chopped walnuts<\/td>\n<td style=\"text-align: left;\">30g<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3>Steps<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\"><b>Prepare the dough<\/b><\/p>\n<ol class=\"ramadan_list\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Place all the dough ingredients into the mixer except for the dates and walnuts.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Mix the ingredients for 6 minutes on low speed and 2 minutes on high speed.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Add in the dates and walnuts.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Mix the ingredients for 2 minutes on low speed.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Final dough temperature should be approximately 25\u02daC.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Place the dough into a bowl, cover and let it rest for 60 minutes at 25\u02daC.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 15px;\"><b>Shaping<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Divide the dough at 400g.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Roll the dough into round shape and let it rest for 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Gently flatten the dough by hand and fold it into a batard shape.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Place the dough into a tin.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Let the dough rest for 90 minutes at around 25\u02daC.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 15px;\"><b>Baking<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Preheat oven at 250\u02daC.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Cut the top of the dough lengthwise with a knife.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Bake the bread for 25 minutes at 250\u02daC with steam.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Remove the bread and let it cool down before serving.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 15px;\">Lesaffre wishes all Muslims a blessed and meaningful Ramadan. <i>Ramadan Mubarak!<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/saf-instant.asia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">saf-instant.asia<\/a> to discover more recipes and ideas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ramadan is considered one of the holiest months for Muslims and is marked by a period of fasting from sunrise until sundown.
